the FARM, a B&B

The FARM is situated in the north eastern corner of South Dakota within sight of Minnesota.  In the heart of the Sioux, Indian nation, you are also a short drive to North Dakota.  The farm originally was used by the Presbyterian church as a missionary compound, starting back in 1868.  The house was an orphanage home to the Native American children of the area.  When my grandparents arrived in this country, they purchased 140 acres of the site and this is where eight of their children were born.  I have taken on the labor of love to resurrect the house and out buildings to their simple grandeur paying attention to every detail, by doing a lot of the work myself.  They are now open to share with you and your loved ones.  My home is a bed and breakfast, for you to enjoy, while you visit this area and explore as Louis and Clark did.

We are more than happy to plan events with you, such as a family or class reunion, that very special wedding and/or reception, anniversary parties, and even a “ladies tea” in the garden.  We also prepare the  “hunter’s” breakfast on Sundays, these services are available for guests and non-guests.
